Aunt Jennies Front Porch

Aunt Juella's Room

Aunt Jennie was married to Jeannie's uncle Oliver. Aunt Jennie stands on the front porch and welcomes you to Berries and Marigolds.

The front porch floor was redone in the Spring of 2005. This is the first porch renovation since the house was built in 1897.

Aunt Jennie lives in Benson, Minnesota.

She still makes it to Berries and Marigolds each Summer or Fall. She loves to come for her birthday with her family and have her picture taken on the front porch.

Grandma Josephine's Three Seasons Porch

Grandma Josephine's three season porch was the original wrap around porch from Aunt Jennie's front porch.

At one time the house was made into apartments and this porch was enclosed and made into a kitchen for one of the apartments.

Grandma Josephine was Jeannie's grandma and the mother of grandma, Marian, Mable, Sylvia, Casper, Esther and Arnold for whom other rooms and buildings are named after.

Grandma Josephine lived to the age of 97 years.

Uncle Casper's Outhouse

Uncle Casper was Jeannie's Uncle.

Uncle Casper never married and continued to live on the farm he was raised on. The outhouse is a must see when you visit Berries and Marigolds

The outhouse was bought by Jeannie at an auction sale in Glenwood, Minnesota. It was moved to Berries and Marigolds and a concrete slab was laid for it and then when the Pederson Boys Barn was built it needed to be moved so another concrete slab was laid for it to rest on.

Uncle Arnold's Garden

Uncle Arnold was Jeannie's Uncle. Uncle Arnold lived on a farm not far from Grandma Josephine's farm.

The gate in the garden at Berries and Marigolds was given to Jeannie by Uncle Arnold.

We have lots of flowers in this garden and probably at different tines lots of weed.

Aunt Marian's Summer Kitchen

Aunt Marian was Jeannie's Aunt.

Aunt Marian is a sister to Grandpa and she was a true Norweigian married to a farmer

In her later years she had to have her leg removed and when the doctor asked her what she wanted done with the leg, she said, "Throw it to the pigs".
